The Bridge Therapy and Learning Services is a private speech pathology practice located in the Sutherland Shire, Sydney. We specialise in improving the communication skills of children, so they can reach their full potential.

 

Belinda Shoebridge

Paediatric Speech Pathologist

Belinda has over 20 years experience working as a paediatric speech pathologist in both the public and private sector and in schools.

She has been a Senior Speech Pathologist in Community Health in both South Western Sydney and the Sutherland Shire, holding both senior clinical and management positions.  She is also a mother of 3 children.

Belinda has extensive experience working with children with speech, language, literacy and stuttering difficulties.  She has a passion for working closely with parents to make a difference in their child’s lives and strongly believes in offering treatment programs in collaboration with other people important to the child and their family, such as the child’s teacher, occupational therapist or paediatrician.  Her interpersonal skills, compassion and enthusiasm allow her to form close working relationships with her clients, their families and other professionals.  

Belinda is a dedicated speech pathologist, who strives to constantly improve her skills and knowledge.  She participates in regular professional courses, evidence based practice groups and Professional Self Regulation through Speech Pathology Australia and abides by their Code of Ethics.  

Belinda created “The Bridge Therapy and Learning Services” because she wanted to create a quality, multi-disciplinary clinic for children with developmental and learning difficulties in the Sutherland Shire.

 
 
 

Georgia Mason

Georgia is an experienced primary school teacher with a special interest in teaching children who struggle with reading, spelling and writing.

She is a qualified Sounds-Write practitioner and MSL Specialist. MSL is considered “the gold standard for treatment and remediation of dyslexia” by the Australian Dyslexia Association (ADA).

Georgia is a devoted educator, who regularly updates her practice to reflect the most up-to-date changes in evidence-based instruction. She is currently undertaking further postgraduate study, completing a Masters of Learning Intervention (Specific Learning Difficulties). Georgia is also a mother to a one-year old boy, Ethan.

She provides evidence-based instruction for children with reading, spelling and writing difficulties, based on the Science of Reading. Georgia has a passion for teaching Structured Synthetic Phonics (SSP), and has observed significant growth in her students who have been taught using this method. She has a warm and friendly manner, and builds excellent rapport with her families. Georgia looks forward to working in partnership with you and your child at the clinic.

Emma is in her 3rd year of a Bachelor of Speech Pathology at the Australian Catholic University and has experience working as a disability support worker for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

She is passionate about helping others and making a difference in their lives, and this is what drew her to study speech pathology. Emma has a calm and friendly approach and a professional manner. Outside of work and study she loves spending time with her family, friends, and reading. Emma is looking forward to working with your child and helping them to develop their communication skills and gain confidence in their learning.
